PICTURE FINISHING
Goldcrest offers world-class picture finishing with top creative talent working with industry leading technology and infrastructure. Our team is your creative and technical partner whenever needed throughout the entire process, from pre-production though delivery. Prior to shooting we are there to discuss all aspects of your work flow and test the aesthetic impact of various technical choices, including camera, lenses, unusual lighting setups, HDR, filtration, and more. We also work with cinematographers and directors to build LUTs for use with dailies and in-camera. When it’s time to color grade the final, we work with directors, cinematographers and producers in one of our state-of-the-art Grading Theaters or 4K / HDR suites to find the unique look of each individual film.
Goldcrest works with best-in-class technology to guarantee that the creative side flows easily and is never held back by the technical. We can work with the full range of available of formats from SD to 8K, employing the fastest available DaVinci Resolve Advanced Linux systems working across blazing fast shared storage and enabling extremely efficient multi-user collaboration. We offer GVG Alchemist framerate conversions, DV Phoenix restoration and Transkoder DCP creation. Our team has been on the forefront of many new technologies and can help plan workflows from the tried and true to the leading edge or unusual.

SOUND MIXING
Goldcrest possesses an array of talented re-recording mixers, as well as sound designers, who are highly equipped to create the perfect soundtrack for any project. Our four sound theatres are cutting edge, with an emphasis on experience coupled with the ease of mind of having the best technology available. We work closely with directors, producers, and post supervisors to orchestrate the sound design for their film, television, and streaming projects. Located on our main floor are our two largest 7.1.4 ATMOS Mix Theaters; Theater Q and Theater A. Theater Q features two Avid S6 consoles, a 2K NEC NC800C Xenon Bulb projector and monitoring is through Meyers Acheron Studio Sound Speakers. Goldcrest’s third floor and cellar are devoted to Sound Editorial Services and Sound Project Rooms.

Kris Chevannes brings decades of experience working with and recording actors to the ADR studio. Goldcrest offers Source Connect, ISDN, Skype, and Phone Patch connections. Goldcrest specializes in feature and episodic television ADR and Loop Group recording. Recent examples include: Billions, Hap and Leonard, Blue Bloods, and Sense 8.

EDITORIAL ROOMS
Goldcrest provides state-of-the-art editing rooms. We will provide the editing platform of your choice from Avid to Premiere or Final Cut, and have for your convenience the latest in shared storage, running Avid’s Nexis SAN platform for collaborative editing. Uniquely, every editing room at Goldcrest NY has a window, overlooking the West Village. Editors and their teams can take advantage of being under the same roof as picture and sound finishing, easily exporting shots, VFX or cuts to look at in our DI Theatres or listen on the Mix Stage. Our Avid-trained engineering team is there for support.

DAILIES
Goldcrest provides speedy and flexible Dailies processing which can be tailored to the needs of the full range of productions from Studio Features to Episodic Television and Indies. For projects shooting film we work closely with Kodak, and have our own ARRI scanner which can oversample at up to 6K and sets the bar for film scanning. For digital acquisition, we can process your dailies quickly and accurately, syncing sound, and adding any requested burn-ins and providing easy to edit transcoded material for any editing platform.
